Elephant hunting...

Sue managed to hunt down the 2 elephants by the visitors' centre in Greenwich but one successfully evaded her.  I tracked down the third and final elephant to the covered market place, where it was disguised as a bag of peppers.  I almost missed it, so effective was its camouflage:

Code named ''Piquant,'' it's lurking by the northern entrance.

  1. Marmoset, I walked through that arch yesterday and the elephant was NOT there! Just a helluver lot of food stalls and lots of people scoffing their faces. I think the elephant might have been hiding near the Elephant Family Project's pop-up shop that has apparently taken over where the (so-called) art materials shop was...
Talking of food, it made me laugh that there were literally hundreds of places to buy a snack in Greenwich yesterday and ridiculously long queues up and down the aisles in M&S and the Co-op. Meanwhile, a desperate McDonald's had some lads standing at strategic points with signposts to their pathetically prehistoric outpost next to the DLR...

  2. Are you sure? I mean it is very deviously camouflaged....

  3. Come on! It stands out like a sore thumb! I'm pretty sure there were three food stalls there. They must've moved it.

  4. It could have been hiding in amongst the food stalls...

  5. Hmm...not enough room...but there were so many people under the arch I could've missed it I guess!

  6. You'll be having a laff, Marmoset...was the England Mexico game that boring?

  7. It was a very interesting game, I thought. Although the result was a good one, flattering even, there are still problems in the England formation. They were outclassed for almost the whole of the first half.

But, that said, the no small matter of losing elephants is a serious business and we have to keep a sense of perspective.
