What's all that noise? Oh it's the lesser spotted Glendale. The first sighting this year. Why use a broom or rake when you can swing a toy like a machine gun?
I heard it too. I thought that it was the first grass cutting of the year and took it as a sign that spring was bounding back. I should have looked out of the window.
Aren't they called Greenscene? I just read something that said Greenscene are the Council's grounds maintenance contractor? Are they the same as Glendales?
First grass cutting was today, at least on Evelyn estate! I watched as one of the operatives took great care to manoeuvre around the rubbish on the grass, which they are supposed to pick off first...! Plus ca change!
And today I noticed a Glendale flat-bed truck parked on the off-road cyclepath outside Farrer house - maybe it's the green tarmac that attracts them. New season, old habits...
