As Crossfields residents will be all too aware barely a week goes by without npower knocking on our doors on a Sunday morning trying to convince us to switch to them. I can't wait for the next time they knock so I can tell them exactly why I won't be changing- and its the same reason I will no longer be buying anything from tesco- because by continuing to advertise in the news of the world they are tacitly endorsing the distress caused by journalists towards the families of murder victims. I'm also going to suggest to any pub/cafe manager I come across who stock it to cancel/change their subscription. We might not be able to enforce a public enquiry but we can make a start by making Deptford a notw free zone.

  2. It would appear that, rather than face the humiliation of a potential boycott in Deptford, Murdoch decided to cancel production of the entire paper for good.

  3. Before we all start congratulating ourselves on a job well done and set out to take on the Daily Mail bear in mind that we'll never catch them out getting news by foul means because it's been several years since they actually covered the news.

A bit of local gossip: I cycled past Lewisham Police station this afternoon and found the whole place under a complete media siege. It turns out that that's where Andy Coulson is kipping.

  4. Maybe they have suspects from recent killings in
    Greenwich/Woolwich?

  5. Yes Coulson apparently lives locally and so falls under the jurisdiction of Lewisham police station when it comes to his arrest warrant. One funny thing on the news- apparently neighbours were shocked when he was led away by detectives not because his character was brought into question but because they had no idea he was living on their street.
