I came across an offer for a free energy-saving plug (apparently worth £20) via the London Cycling Campaign this evening. If you qualify for any of these benefits (or if you know someone else who does) then have a look...
If you're over 70 or getting any of these benefits you'll qualify...
- Council tax benefit
- Housing benefit
- Income support
- Income-based job-seekers allowance
- Income-related employment & support
- Attendance allowance
- Disability living allowance
- War disablement pension
- Disablement pensions with constant attendance
- State pension credit
- Child tax credit (income < £16,040)
- Working tax credit (income < £16,040)
Here's where you go
Wot's an energy saving plug, Marmoset? How on earth does that work? Any ideas? Does it act as a standby without running the 0.002p it costs to light an LED? Sorry, I am too lazy to look it up myself...
ReplyDeleteAnything that uses electricity is in my opinion magic - so I'm not the best one to give advice, plus the fact that I haven't seen one yet. But there's an explanation here http://www.energysavingplug.co.uk/web/guest/product-information
ReplyDeleteIt appears to work by switching off those appliances that stay on standby, by using your TV remote, or something like that...
