Krom... and SLAM Last Fridays

Krom Balgesky is a Bulgarian artist working in Deptford. His striking outdoor drawings are popping up all over the place (here in the Sue Godfrey Nature Park, for instance). On Friday 26th July he'll be showing his work indoors at the Arthub Gallery (5-9 Creekside). Open from 6pm, with a 'performance' at 7pm.

More on Krom

Friday is also South London Art Map's late opening night, with galleries in Deptford, Bankside and Peckham open 6-8pm. At Occupy My Time gallery in Resolution Way, artist Andy Wicks will be focusing on the history of the Thames and its relationship to Deptford. More info at South London Art Map.

SLAM Last Fridays

Last Fridays is an opportunity for arty types to meet up and preview what's going on in galleries and spaces in Deptford, Bankside, Peckham and Bermondsey. It's organised by South London Art Map (SLAM).

This Friday SLAM have planned a 'Pay What You Can' tour of Peckham 'art hot spots' which starts at Camberwell College of Arts in Peckham Road at 6.20pm. See here and the Facebook page.

But if you're hanging out in Deptford, between 6pm and 8pm (9pm in some cases) you can visit Bearspace in Deptford High Street, APT Gallery in Creekside, Number 82 on Tanners Hill, and Enclave in Resolution Way, off Deptford High Street.

A little further afield are ASC Studios in New Cross and CueB in Brockley Road, plus a special event at the Stephen Lawrence Gallery in the Old Royal Naval College. Each area has an "After Party" – the Deptford After Party is at The Old Police Station in Amersham Vale.

Beck's Fusion at SLAM LAST Friday

The South London Art Map's LAST Friday is tomorrow 29th July, 6.30-8.30pm. Galleries will be open late in Deptford, Peckham and Bankside, and all participating venues will have FREE Beck's 'Fusion' (Beck's with a hint of orange zest) for one night only.

The 'After Party' in Deptford will be going on at the Old Police Station from 8.30pm.

Meanwhile, Utrophia are now ensconced in the old Job Centre office building and will be open 7 – 11pm. We wonder what they've done with the space. Don't know if they'll have any free Becks though!
