Marmoset posted a while ago that there will be fireworks tonight at 9.45pm, let off from a barge moored at the mouth of the Creek. It's supposedly a private affair (as if fireworks could be)....one wonders if it is anything to do with the appearance of this vessel, presently moored on the Creek peninsula.
This is the Seabourn Sojourn. It commences its Maiden Voyage on Sunday, cruising the North Sea to Scotland, the Norwegian Sea to Denmark, Iceland and Norway then back to Dover, via Amsterdam. Fares from £4,299....that's the 14 day cruise. The 28-day cruise extends to the Kiel Canal in Germany, the Baltic Sea to Estonia, Russia, Finland and Sweden then back to Dover – a snip at £9,549 for the cheapest berth.
