By now - assuming you've got back from work - you should have found something looking a bit like this in your letter box.
(Though if you have one of those impossible vertical letter boxes it might have ended up looking more like an origami version of a jazz accordion.)
If your flatmate used it to line the budgie's cage before you got home, there are a few spare copies. Email crosswhatfields@gmail.com, giving your flat and door number, and we can deliver another copy to you. Alternatively, here's a online link to it
And over the next few weeks, as a sort of history of Crossfields, Marmoset is going to be uploading some back issues of the Crosstalk magazine from the 80s and 90s onto the new ''Backtalk'' page. It kicks off with a 1994 issue dedicated to Sue Godfrey of nature reserve fame. Many thanks to Emma who managed not only to store the back copies away but more importantly, succeeded at finding them again!
Absolutely great to see Crosstalk back through the letter boxes! Well done on the resurrection (both in execution and delivery). And yeah I'm pleased I kept them all AND found them all again! The re-introduction can only be a good thing. In the face of council whitewash and general municple antipathy it's great to hear some real news about our immediate environment. Do you think this is what Dave meant about 'big society'?! I reckon smaller society is far more preferable and Crosstalk is a good step in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the appearance of Crosstalk, ETH. You'll probably have to wait until next year for the next one tho'.
ReplyDeleteUntil then, you have Crosswhatfields.
